TagForge is an Android NFC app in development, built with an offline, privacy-first approach.

TagForge and TagForge Pro

Both test editions include scan-and-show and supported content copy/write workflows. Free does not retain scan history. Pro adds deliberately saved Library items, saved workflow history and manual selected backup/restore tools. Automatic backup setup is not yet available. These capabilities still require device acceptance testing.

Android test builds

Current builds require Android 11 or later. They are internal development builds, not store releases. Physical NFC, home-screen routing, file-provider and security acceptance testing remain open. No app account is required for local scanning.

Know what your device supports

Reading, writing and supported emulation depend on the phone, tag technology and permissions. Supported Type 4 NDEF emulation is a separate test area. It does not reproduce arbitrary chips, fixed UIDs, secret keys, payment credentials or protected access cards.

Private testing

Approved testers can access the current Android builds and testing guide. Downloads require a separate login; this public page does not.
